It's June 8 today.
It's now 40 years of me existing in this planet.
Yes, many happy returns were received via Facebook and by text messages. Many say life begins at 40!
Just thinking, if indeed the life expectancy of a modern-day man was 72 as it is widely published, then this is beyond half-time.
If this was a game of football, then it's half-time, where all players go back into the dressing room, take time to have a breather, and then return, in most cases 15-minutes later to resume the game.
Though life is not a game, but it will be good to take some time off, and to have a breather.
Someone (presumably a wealthy bloke) did say over a dinner a year ago, that at 40, if anyone is anyone, then you would have enough resources to sustain day-to-day living to take a year off to reflect your life and set new goals.
I like that! The questions is a million-dollar one: do I have enough resources to take this time off?
Perhaps not for that long of a duration.
But a 10-days holiday in Perth is very timely, as a result of my spare time last week to look into the Malaysia Airlines website.
You know what, I am tired. Don't know why but this year 2009, I have been run down earlier than in most previous years. Too much of stress, and even unnecessary rubbish going on, which I got myself tangled into.
Slowly untangling, mentally as well as literally, it's now time to unwind.
A physical examination is also in the cards, as I can feel my body speaking to me to re-align.
But, a holiday to Perth, and in particular to watch the whales migrate (normally from July to October) is definitely appealing.
So, Perth, here I come (depending on the availability of cheaper flights...)
